Lawrence J. Wood

Mr. Lawrence Joseph Wood, 93, husband of the late Marguerite Gladden Wood and a residence of Cheriton, passed away Sunday March 6, 2005 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Wood, a native of Bayview, was the son of the late Ernest T. Wood, Sr. and the late Theresa Etz Wood. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Mr. Wood is survived by a son, Denis P. Wood and his daughter in-law Mary Lee Outten Wood of Eastville, Va.; two grandchildren, Kevin P. Wood and his wife Faith of Detroit, MI and Karen W. Woodson and her husband John of Chesapeake, Va.; two great grandchildren, Ann Jacob Woodson and Caroline Gladden Woodson; two step great grandchildren, Dusty Illbeck and Brittany Illbeck; a brother, Vincent Wood of Cheriton, Va.; two sisters, Josephine W. Blanchet of FL, and Teresa W. Simonds of NY; and a number of nieces and nephews Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church by Father J.
