Lawrence James Navarro

Mr. Lawrence James Navarro, 89, husband of the late Elizabeth Ward Navarro, and a resident of Salisbury, NC, formerly of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007 in Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. A native of Cape Charles, VA, he was the son of the late John Navarro and the late Katrina Etz Navarro. Mr.Navarro retired from Wendell Distributing and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He is survived by two children, Roger L. Navarro and his wife Virginia of Wattsville, VA and Anna F. Elkins of Salisbury, NC; three grandchildren, Virginia Ann Conover and her husband Jere of Salisbury, MD, Julie Evers and her husband Frank of Salisbury, NC, and Neil Avant and his wife Felicia of Elizabethtown, NC; three great grandchildren, Courtney Evers, Joshua Evers, and Devin Avant. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 2:30 PM from the graveside of the Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. James W. Ward officiating.
