LaVerne B. Taylor, Jr.

LaVerne B. Taylor, Jr., 54, better known as L.B. and a resident of Chesapeake, formerly of Birdsnest died Sunday December 18, 2005 at Chesapeake General Hospital. Mr. Taylor, a native of Birdsnest was the son of LaVerne B. Taylor, Sr. of Birdsnest, Va. and the late Annie "Susie" Kelley Taylor. Mr. Taylor is survived by two sons, Travis Ryan Taylor of Burlington, Vermont and Luke Burnard Taylor of West Chester, Pa., three sisters; Suzanne T. Oliver and her husband Manuel of S. Dartmouth, Mass., Lisa T. Simpson of Marionville, Va. and Toni Parks and her husband Paul of Chesapeake, Va., numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Doughty Funeral Home Wednesday December 21, 2005 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Bill Nieporte officiating. Arrangements made by Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore.
