Laverne Snider Bell

Laverne Snider Bell, 86, wife of the late Norman C. Bell, Sr. and a resident of Capeville, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Orleans, Mass, she is the daughter of the late Forrest Reed & Bernice Chase Snider. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Cheriton Baptist Church. She is survived by six children, Arlene B. Elliott and her husband John of Palm Harbor, Fla., Catherine E. Morthland and her companion Jim Marvel of Exmore, Va., Christine L. Johnson and her husband Lou, Bonnie B. Rippon, both of Smith Beach, Shirley C. Randall and her husband Barry of Cheriton, Va., Norman C. "Jay" Bell, Jr. of Smith Beach, a sister, Mable S. Milioto of Rock Harbor, Mass., and a brother, Forrest Reed Snider, Jr. of Orleans, Mass., 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Cheriton Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Capeville Masonic Cemetery.
