Keith Philip Kirby, Sr.

Mr. Keith Philip Kirby, Sr., 52, of Exmore, Va., passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007. He was born in California and raised in Virginia Beach, but a Shore resident for over 30 years. He was the son of the late Robert O. Kirby, Sr. and Miriam Kirby (Goggie) of Virginia Beach. He was employed by Emergency Medical Services and was a member of Exmore Community Fire Company. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and family man. Other than his mother, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah (Debbie) Thompson Kirby of Exmore, Va.; two sons, Keith Philip Kirby, Jr. of Allentown, Pa., Jason Michael Kirby of Exmore, Va., a daughter, Anne Kristen Kirby of Exmore; two sisters, Sandra K. Oldham and her husband Melvin of Norfolk, Va.,and Carolyn Burton of Chesapeake, Va., three grandchildren, Sydney M. and Taylor D. Kirby of North Carolina, Makayla Anne Pinder of Exmore; father and mother in-law, Roland and Jane Thompson of Jamesville, Va., and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Robert Kirby. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 4th at 2:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Mr. Steven M. Thompson officiating. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
