Keith William Bennett

Keith William Bennett, 52, a resident of Jewett City, CT, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at his residence. A native of Cape Charles, VA, he was the son of Mary Lafferty Bennett of Cheriton, VA and the late V.M. "Mac" Bennett. He was a United States Army Veteran and a dispatcher for Quikrete Concrete Products.

In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by two brothers, Claude M. Bennett of Danielson, CT, Walt C. "Skippy" Bennett of Cheriton; three nieces, Alyssa Bennett, Dylan Bennett and Katelyn Bennett, all of Cheriton; four aunts, Charlotte L. Whitman and her husband, George, of Machipongo, VA, Abbie L. Borum and her husband, Larry, of Orlando, FL, Colleen L. Makin and Betty Jo L. Petty, both of Delaware; and two uncles, Frank J. Lafferty and his wife, Mary Esther, of Temperanceville, VA and Grover L. Lafferty, Jr. of Mears, VA. Other than his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Lydia and V.M. Bennett, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Grover L. Lafferty, Sr.; uncles, Edward Lee Lafferty and Bartlett H. Lafferty and aunt, Barbara S. Dickerson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Lower Northampton Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Conrow officiating. Interment will follow in Cape Charles Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or S.P.C.A.
