Kathryn Stevens West

Kathryn Stevens West, 92, wife of the late Harry C. West Jr. and a resident of Chesapeake, VA, formerly of Birdsnest, VA, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at Chesapeake General Hospital. A native of Keller, VA, she was the daughter of the late Tankard and Jaine Stevens. She retired from Shore Memorial Hospital and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Mrs. West is survived by two daughters, Harriet West Lumpkin and her husband Punky of Richmond, VA, Dottie West Vaiden and her husband Skip of Chesapeake; a sister, Joyce Core of Onley, VA; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Red Bank Baptist Church in Marionville with the Rev. Dr. John M. Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Bank Church Cemetery. Family will join friends at the church from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
