Kathleen Bumgarner

Kathleen Graverson Bumgarner, 66, wife of the late Douglas Scott Bumgarner and a resident of Chincoteague, VA, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at her residence. A native of New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late George Stanley Graverson and the late Dorothy Davis Graverson. She was a painter and a lover of animals.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Byrd and her companion, Robert Thornes, Jr. of Onancock, VA, and Chrissy Ritsema and Derek of Venice, FL; two sisters, Carole DeAndrea of Germansville, PA, and Kimberly Collins of Oak Hall, VA; and two grandchildren, Jacob Thornes and Hannah Byrd.

To honor her wishes a private celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore, Inc., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
