Kathleen Benson

Kathleen Elaine Benson, 67, a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. A native of Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of Gloria Polyott Benson of East Hartford, CT, and the late Burnal Benson.

She is survived by three children, Willow Zieger and her husband, Adam, of Eastville, VA, Robyn Hartley and her husband, Joseph, of Richmond, VA, and Larisa King and her husband, Perry, of Winters, CA; four sisters and brothers, Karen Tavernier and her husband, Dave, of Willimantic, CT, Kris Benson of Manchester, CT, Kim Beaver and her husband, Rick, of East Hartford, and Keith Benson and his wife, Anna, of East Hartford; five grandchildren, Linsey Otto and her husband, Tyler Thornes, of Virginia Beach, VA, Lily Hartley of Richmond, Noah Hartley of Richmond, Atticus King of Winters, and Coen King of Winters; one great granddaughter, Luna Thornes of Virginia Beach; and her sweet doggie, "Munchkin". She was predeceased by two sisters, Kaye LeBrun and Kelly Benson, and her longtime companion, Floyd Gaskill.

To honor her request a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore, Inc., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
