Kathleen Hightower Ballard

Kathleen Hightower Ballard, 55, of Cheriton, VA, passed away February 27, 2012 at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of the late Raymond C. Hightower and the late Florence Young Hightower. She was Assistant Manager of the Exmore Peebles Store, worked at Bay Creek Marine Shops, was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and volunteered at Occohannock Elementary School. She enjoyed baking cookies, bird watching and traveling. She is survived by two sons, John Robert Ballard of Exmore, VA and Wilson Raymond Ballard of Exmore; one sister, Patricia Hightower of Poulsbo, WA; one niece, Nicole Hightower of Poulsbo. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond C. Hightower, Jr. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2PM at Northampton Fire & Rescue in Nassawadox.
