Katheryn Begoin Belote

Katheryn Begoin Belote, 85, wife of the late William Tank Belote and a resident of Belle Haven, VA, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at her residence. A native of Belle Haven, she was the daughter of the late Francis Andrew and Katherine Killmon Begoin. Mrs. Belote was a retired Northampton County Deputy Clerk of Court, member of the Belle Haven United Methodist Church, an active member of United Methodist Women, and a member and past Worthy Matron of Northampton Chapter #2 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include four children, Carolyn B. Bennett of Chester, VA, Dorothy B. Hutchinson and her husband Donald of Crocker, MO, Mary Katherine Gennings and her husband Robert of Williamsburg, VA, and William Davis Belote of Belle Haven; one sister, Willye B. Young of Delmar, MD; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore with Rev. Judith Worthington and Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. A private interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
