Judith Gibbs

Judith Patterson Gibbs, 73, wife of the late Cecil H. Gibbs and a resident of Quinby, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Ypsilanti, MI, she was the daughter of the late Archie Patterson and the late Mildred Boice Patterson Henderson. She was a retired bookkeeper for GTE and a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by three children, Tracey Colyer and her husband, Reid Barkley of Carol Stream, IL, Shaan Colyer of Stow, OH, Rodney Adler and his wife, Ana Crawford, of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren, Jessica Colyer, Shaan Aaron Colyer, Corrina Colyer, Liam Colyer, Jaxson Colyer. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Donna Doan officiating. Interment will follow in Quinby Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513.
