Juanita E. Simons

Mrs. Juanita Ekenbarger Simons, 83, wife of the late Thomas Joseph Simons and a resident of Wachapreague, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006. A native of New England she was the daughter of the late Raymond Ekenbarger and the late Barbara Dart Ekenbarger. She was a member of Hollies Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Gene Blair and his wife Barbara of Wachapreague, Va.; eight brothers and sisters, Ruth Kennedy, Barbara Crane, Maggie Pain, Jack Ekenbarger, Emily Cutler, Bill, Bruce, and Ray Ekenbarger;two grandchildren, Lori Miles and her husband Don of Oyster, Va., Kenneth R. Blair and his wife Marissa of Davis Wharf, Va.; two great grandchildren, Aidan Blair, Garrett Miles, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Adelbert Ekenbarger, and two sisters, Marilyn Briarcheck and Eunice Malone. Funeral services for Mrs. Simons will be conducted Saturday, October 21st at 2:00 PM from the Hollies Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe McKnight.
