Joseph Patrick McGinnis

Mr. Joseph Patrick McGinnis, 69, husband of Joan Harvey West McGinnis and a resident of Onancock passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. A native of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph F. McGinnis and the late Mary D. Carroll McGinnis. Mr. McGinnis was retired from the Head Start School Program and was a member of the Accomac Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Other than his wife, survivors include six children, Joseph P. McGinnis, Jr., of Pennsylvania, John McGinnis of New Jersey, Patrick McGinnis of Pa., Karen M. Hower of Pa., Thomas McGinnis of Pa., David West of N.J.; five sisters, Barbara Arnold, Ann Marie Watts, Geraldine Schueller, Maureen Frey, Mary Wright, all of Pennsylvania;thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild. Mr. McGinnis was predeceased by a younger brother, Thomas McGinnis. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM from the Accomac Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 18308 Lankford Highway, Parksley, Virginia with the Elder Mire Firestone officiating.
