Joseph Earl Fair, 63, of Oyster passed away Tuesday August 2, 2005 at his home with his wife Marie at his side after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. Although our hearts are heavy, all heaven is rejoicing as he has gone to be with his Lord and Savior. Earl lived in Pennsville, NJ all of his life until retiring from the Carpenters Local 542, after 20 years of service, and moving to the Eastern Shore of Virginia where he "changed careers" and became a Commercial Waterman. He loved being on or around the water and cherished the time he spent boating, fishing, and clamming. He leaves behind a wife of 43 years, Marie (nee Rogan); sons Robert E. Fair, his wife Susan and their three daughters: Alexa Marie, Madison Gabrielle, and Kylie Grace of Sicklerville, NJ; Ronald A. Fair, his wife Gina and their two daughters Allison Ronnie and Alyssa Gabrielle of Tampa, FL. To his five granddaughters he will always be remembered as the best clam digging, boat driving, Croaker fishing Pop-Pop there ever was. He will be sadly missed and remembered for his generosity of spirit and willingness to help everyone.
