John J. Tillette Jr.

John J. Tillette Jr., 65, husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Tillette and a resident of CapeCharles, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, at his residence. A native of North Carolina, he was the son of the late John J. and Ella Tillette. Mr. Tillette was a locomotive engineer for Bay Coast Railroad. Survivors include two children, Karen R. Tincler and her husband, Chris of Norfolk, VA, and John R. Tillette and his wife, Karen of Pomona, NY; three sisters, Teresa Kilbride and her husband, Dennis of MN, Doris Parker and her husband, Kenneth of FL, and Barbara Helmke and her husband, Richard of NC; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Steven, Tyler, Christopher, and Andrea. Mr. Tillette was predeceased by a brother, Billie Tillette, and a sister, Gloria Peltier. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Cape Charles Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Goodrich officiating. Family will join friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home in Cape Charles.
