John Maurice Sturgis

Mr. John Maurice Sturgis, 67, husband of Nancy Scott Sturgis and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 in Nassawadox. A native of Painter, he was the son of the late Sidney Maurice Sturgis and the late Margaret Mears Sturgis. Mr. Sturgis was retired from Sharp Energy in Belle Haven. Other than his wife, he is survived by a brother, James N. Sturgis and his wife Patricia of Painter and a niece, Jennifer Sturgis Dauzier and her husband Marc of Midlothian, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 29th at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock with the Rev. Patricia M. Kellam officiating.
