John Martin Parks Sr.

Mr. John Martin Parks Sr., 70, husband of Anna Mae Isdell Parks and a resident of Belle Haven, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the home of his daughter in Quinby. A native of Tangier, he was the son of the late Brower Parks and the late Alma Segers Parks Thomas. He was a retired seafood dealer. Other than his wife, he is survived by three children, John Martin Parks Jr. and his wife Joann of Belle Haven, Va., Janet P. Hickman and her husband David of Quinby, Va., Jackie M. Parks and his wife Linda of Wardtown, Va.; five grandchildren, Richard E. Parks, Crystal P. Kellam, Lorraine Hickman, Jo Downs, Jessica Parks, and a great grandson, Michael Jacob Downs. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 24th at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Saturday evening from 7 to 8:30.
