John Henry Hippensteel, Sr.

Mr. John Henry Hippensteel, Sr., 77, husband of the late Ruth Agnes Pockert Hippensteel and a resident of Nassawadox, passed away at Heritage Hall Health Care on Tuesday, May 10, 2005. He was the son of the late Arthur Hippensteel, Sr. and the late Martha Messer Hippensteel. Mr. Hippensteel was a retired self-employed building demolition expert. He is survived by six children, Florence Hippensteel of Spokane, Washington, John Henry Hippensteel, Jr. of Roanoke, Va., Blanche Marabelle Hippensteel of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Janet Pearl Hippensteel of Columbus, Ohio, Karl Edward Hippensteel of Nassawadox, Va., Ruth "Brandy" Elaine Kellam and her husband Jerry of Birdsnest, Va., twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A private service will be held in Pittsburgh at a later date. Arrangements made by Doughty Funeral Home, Inc., Exmore, Va.
