John Edward Burland

John Edward Burland, 58, a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Cape Charles, VA. A native of Oyster, VA, he was the son of the late Wilbert M. Burland and the late Dorothy Moore Burland. Mr. Burland was a used furniture dealer. He is survived by two brothers, Robert L. Burland, Sr. and his wife, Shirley, of Oyster, Wilbert Lee Burland and his wife, Margaret, of Onancock, VA; one sister, Sue E. Moore of Cheriton; two uncles, Preston Moore of Cheriton, Joe Moore of Cape Charles; a special nephew, E.J. Moore of Cheriton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Burland was predeceased by a brother-in- law, Benny T. Moore. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the graveside of the Capeville Masonic Cemetery with Bishop James E. Davis officiating.
