John W. Brown, Sr.

John William Brown, Sr., 79, husband of Emily Brown and a resident of Bloxom, VA, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, at his residence. A native of Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George Albert Brown and the late Ada Schafer Brown. He was a retired supervisor for Tavo Packing Company and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Brown Fitchett and her husband, James, of Quinby, VA, Susan Brown Barker and her husband, Donald Lee, of Princess Anne, MD; three sons, Michael Brown of Fairless Hills, PA, Timothy Brown and his wife, Teresa, of Abilene, TX, James Brown, of Melfa, VA; fifteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church with Deacon Dan Hoppe officiating.
