John William Atkinson

Mr. Johnny Atkinson, 60, husband of Diane White Atkinson and a resident of Painter, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at his residence. A native of Painter, he was the son of the late W. Powell Atkinson and the late Eva Mae Bell Atkinson. He was a farmer, fisherman, and hunter. Other than his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Nicole A. Landon and her husband Steve of Painter, Va.; a son, John William "Will" Atkinson, Jr. and his Fiancee` Kerri Smith of Painter; a brother, Glen P. Atkinson and his wife Lee of Clarksboro, N.J.; an aunt, Louise Atkinson Bundick of Philadelphia, Pa.; an uncle, J. Glen Atkinson, Jr. of Painter, and a granddaughter, Makenna Elizabeth Landon of Painter. He was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Atkinson. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2005 at 4:00 PM from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with Pastor Tom Durrance, Pastor Michael Harrington, and Pastor Bob Smoot officiating.
