Joan Vincent Trala, 77, wife of Laurence J. "Larry" Trala and a longtime resident of Exmore, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28,2012. Born March 30, 1935 in Newport, Del., she was the beloved daughter of the late George Thomas Vincent and Beatrice Elizabeth Janvier Vincent. She and her husband owned Joan and Larry's Restaurant in Exmore. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Jamesville, and the Bethel United Methodist Women. She also was active at the YMCA. Other than her husband, she is survived by her children, Aleisa L. Pitt and her husband Gary of Canton, Mich., Larry J. Trala Jr. of Ocean City, Md., George V. Trala and his wife Christy of Ocean City, Laura B. Trala of Jamesville; six grandchildren, Tina, Kyle and his wife Jill, Adam, Shawn, Brandon, Brandy; six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Chyanne, Matthew, Avery, Aiden and Aliyah; her dear brother, George T. Vincent and his wife Germaine of Norfolk, Va.; nieces and nephews, Garnet Catchot and husband Bobby of Norfolk, Denise Wagonbrenner of Virginia Beach, George T. Vincent III of Los Angeles, Calif., and Daniel Vincent of Norfolk. A service will be held at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alex Joyner and the Rev. Judith Worthington officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery, Belle Haven. Family will join friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 at the Doughty Funeral Home.
