Jared R. Atkinson

Jared Randolf Atkinson, 21, died Friday, January 19, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident near Onley. A native of Wachapreague, he is the son of Nat H. Atkinson, Jr. and Susie Lewis Atkinson of Wachapreague. He was employed as the first mate on the Foxy Lady and was a member of Oceanview United Methodist Church. Other than his parents, he is survived by one brother, Nathaniel H. Atkinson, III, better known as Tres, his maternal grandparents, Z. R. Lewis and Nancy Perry Lewis of Wachapreague, his paternal grandparents, Nat H. Atkinson, Sr. of Wachapreague & the late Frances Helen Parker Atkinson, four uncles, Randolf Lewis and his wife Hayley of Wachapreague, J.P. Atkinson and his wife Paula of Belle Haven, Karl Lee Atkinson of Wachapreague, and Gary Atkinson and his wife Martha of Keller, one aunt, Selina Coulbourne and her husband Mark of Wachapreague, two great grandmothers, Helen Perry of Wachapreague and Elvira H. Atkinson of Nassawadox and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore with the Rev. Sallye E. H.
