Jane Adams Buchanan

Jane Adams Buchanan, wife of the late Henry Irving Buchanan, Jr., passed away in Woodbridge, Virginia on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of Grace Hipple Adams and John Adams, Jr. She was a native of Norfolk, Virginia. Mrs. Buchanan was a member of the Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church in Norfolk where she served as secretary and bookkeeper. After retiring, the Buchanan's moved to Venice, Florida and became members of the Venice Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Buchanan was an active participant in the Presbyterian Women's Circles, leading a Bible study group for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Buchanan Chambers and her husband Gary; a son, Henry Irving Buchanan, III , and his wife Deborah, and their sons Justin Britt and James Alexander. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Cape Charles Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest L. Gardner will officiate.
