Jan Adda Warren

Janet Adda Warren, a resident of Locustville, Virginia died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at her home after a valiant fight against cancer. Born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, Jan graduated from Academy High School in Erie, PA and Maricopa College in Phoenix, Arizona where she lived for over 30 years. She retired from the Phoenix Fire Department after 19 years and retired to the Eastern Shore where she became a friend to the Assateague Indians of the Virginia Peninsula. She loved the Eastern Shore and its people who were dear to her heart. Preceded in death by parents James L. and Lois L (Haight) Warren and long time companion Ruth A Campbell. Survived by brother Kenneth J. Warren and his wife Ampun of Santa Rosa Beach, FL;a sister Anita J. Walters and her husband Tony M. of Hampton, VA; many nieces, and nephews both here and abroad. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her wish is that donations be made to the Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, Va. 23421.
