James Milton Fitchett, Jr., 85, husband of Norma Justis Fitchett and a resident of Willis Wharf, VA, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at his residence. A native of Birdsnest, VA, he was the son of the late James Milton Fitchett, Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Isdell Fitchett. He was a retired L.P. Gas Technician for Pargas and Suburban Propane and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Barnes of Exmore, VA; a sister, Barbara Allen Johnson of Painter, VA; three brothers, Thomas Fitchett of Sanford, VA, Robert Duke Fitchett of Parksley, VA, Woodrow "Sonny" Fitchett of Exmore; five grandchildren, Jason Fitchett, Tracey Fitchett, Alisa Bagwell, Sherri Kellam Scanlan, Angel McGlown; 19 great grandchildren, including Brandalyn Barnes, Merranda Barnes, Ronald Barnes, Jr., Gage Fitchett, Chase Fitchett and numerous great-great grandchildren, including his darling Braleigh Green, Vaden Green, Noah Matthew James and Kinsley Barnes. He was predeceased by three children, Florence Marie Armentrout, Norma Jean Bew, Richard Wayne Fitchett; a sister, Isabelle Fitchett Smith; a grandson, J.C. Kellam and a great granddaughter, Monica Lee Bagwell. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jack D.
