James Stephen Corbin
March 31, 1951 — October 23, 2017
James Stephen Corbin, 66, a resident of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at his residence. A native of Chesapeake, VA, he was the son of the late Dale Hance Corbin and the late Constance Downing Corbin Keech. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the United States government.
He is survived by two children, Teddy James Corbin of Norfolk, VA, and Tracy Lynn Corbin Quint and her husband, Clay, of Hodgdon, ME; five sisters, Sandra C. Perkins and her husband, John, of Machipongo, VA, Rise C. Carroll of Chesapeake, Andrea Eve Robertson and her husband, J.J., of Knotts Island, NC, Irene K. Brown and her husband, Joseph, of Mechanicsville, VA, and Jenifer Gwen Keech, of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Sarah Lynn Quint and Clayton Royce Quint, IV; numerous nieces and nephews; and his former wife and mother of his children, Kaye Barham. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Dale Corbin.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, October 30, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to assist with funeral expenses to Doughty Funeral Home, PO Box 633, Exmore, VA 23350.
