James M. Colonna

Mr. James Magreeda Colonna, 68, husband of Bonnie Maurer Colonna and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008. A native of Hadlock, he was the son of the late John R. Colonna and the late Mary Emma Custis Colonna. He was a retired Staff Sgt. for the United States Army with 20 years of service and was a retired Director of Environmental Services for Colorado Springs Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, member and Trustee of the Msgr. Edward Mickle Council #14263, and the Cheriton American Legion Northampton Post #56. Other than his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian J. Colonna of Denver, Co., two daughters, Amy C. Parisi and her husband Daniel of Chicago, Ill., Chris Travis and her husband Roger of San Antonio, Tx.,three grandchildren, Angela, Alysha, and Andrew,and a brother, Richard C. Colonna and his wife Barbara of Exmore, Va., a niece, Mindy, three nephews, Donnie, Dwayne, and Michael. Mr. Colonna was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Colonna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the St. Charles Catholic Church in Cape Charles with the Father Michael Breslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery with Military Honors. A christian wake service will be held Sunday evening at 6:00 at St. Charles Catholic Church.
