James Douglas Bradshaw

Mr. James Douglas Bradshaw, 75, fiancé of Beverly Oakes Blaylock and a resident of Midlothian, VA, formerly of Nasawadox, VA, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, at his residence. A native of Machipongo, VA, he was the son of the late Hearlie James Bradshaw and the late Della Mae Tull Bradshaw Brady. He was a retired Insurance Adjuster for Banker Independent Insurance Company. He was a member of Wheaton Moose Lodge # 1775 and Rockville Maryland American Legion Post # 86.

He is survived by two sons, J. D. Bradshaw and his wife, Leslie, of Wachapreague, VA, and David Bradshaw of Parksley, VA; a daughter, Jamie Lynn Bradshaw of Damacus, MD; three brothers, Ralph Eddie Brady of Nassawadox, David James Bradshaw of California, and Reverend Walter Donald Bradshaw of North Carolina; three sisters, Ann Johnson and her husband, Roy, of Nassawadox, Delores Martinez of Exmore, VA, and Terri Kessell of Georgia; two granddaughters, Katrina Bradshaw and Kerri Thornton; three step-granddaughters, Aria Sobrito, Caitlyn McPeters, and Kelsey McPeters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bradshaw was predeceased by a sister, Melinda Brady; a brother, Steve Brady, and a grandson.

To honor his wishes no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Fire Company, P.O. Box 706, Exmore, Va. 23350.
