James Nathan (View Video Tribute) Bell Jr.

James Nathan Bell Jr., 55, husband of Arlene Wilson Bell and a resident of Melfa, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at his residence. A native of Willis Wharf, he was the son of the late J. Nathan Bell Sr. and the late Sara Bonniwell Bell. He worked in maintenance at Tyson Foods. He was a former member and Chief of Exmore Community Fire Company and member and Assistant Chief of Melfa Fire & Rescue Company. Other than his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Levin Hope and her husband Phillip of Deep Creek, Va., Brenda Bell and her companion Dion Church of Melfa, Va., Brittney Johnson and her husband Michael of Cedarview, Va.; six grandchildren, Katlyn, Phillip Jr., Tyler, Alexis, Skyler, and Matthew; a brother-in-law, Steven Wilson of Cape Charles and a sister-in-law, Charlene Parry of West Windfield, N.Y. Funeral services with Firefighter Honors will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside of Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Christy Spurlock officiating.
