James Barcroft

James M. Barcroft, 84, husband of the late Ethel Oakley Barcroft and a resident of Seaview, VA, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at his residence. A native of Seaview, he was the son of the late James F. Barcroft and the late Georgie Skidmore Barcroft. He was a retired Director of Operations and Chief of Police for The Chesapeake Bay Bridge–Tunnel.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy B. Sayers and her husband, E.J., of Nassawadox, VA; grandson, Christopher James Barcroft; long-time friend, Marshall Cox; and special companion, Mary Jernnigan. He was predeceased by his son, James E. Barcroft.

To honor his request no public service will be conducted.
