Jacquelyn Gales Ufkes

Mrs. Jacquelyn Gales Ufkes, 76, of Cape Charles, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late William Timothy Gales and the late Alice Cozzens Gales. She is survived by her husband Glen G. Ufkes of Cape Charles, Va.; a son, Joseph Edwards and his wife Lisa of Eldersburg, Md., two daughters, Ann Marie Edwards of FL, Elizabeth Jeannette Stocksdale of Ellicott City, Md., three step-sons, Keith Johnson and his wife Pam, Eric Johnson, and Gordon Ufkes and his wife, Beth, two step-daughters, Karen Glascock and her husband, Mac, and Elizabeth Comerford and her husband David all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Patsy Louder of Wheaton, Md., Carol Jorgensen of Columbia, Md.; a brother, Ralph Gales of Fla., seven grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Good, Lairity James Hose, Christopher Ryan Downs, William Patrick Downs, Bryan Michael Edwards, Joseph Adam Beall, Joseph Tyler Edwards, and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a husband, James T. Edwards, a son, John Terrance Edwards, and a daughter Christy Edwards. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 29th at 11:00 am from the St. Charles Catholic Church, Cape Charles with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating.
