Jacquelyn Annis Smith

Jacquelyn Annis Smith, 70, wife of Robert A. Smith, Jr. and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Wachapreague, she was the daughter of the late Roland Franklin Annis and Lillian Stevens Annis. She retired from J. P. Morgan Bank and attended Painter-Garrisons United Methodist Church. Other than her husband, she is survived by three children, Scarlet Wynn St. James of New York City, Sherry Lee Wade and her husband, Joe, of Mobile, Alabama, and Robert A. Smith, III of Painter; three grandchildren, Sharleen Drummond and her husband, Daniel, of Accomac, Peter Colon of Newport News, and Joseph Wade, Jr. of Exmore; two great grandchildren, Tyler Drummond and Reyanna Wade. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Annis Ward. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 1:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating.
