John Walter Woolley, better known as Jack, 91, husband of the late Violet Tabors Woolley and a resident of Nassawadox, VA, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his residence. A native of Wall Township, NJ, he was the son of the late Calvin E. Woolley and the late Phoebe Elizabeth Bennett Woolley. He was a retired sheet metal worker for the Civil Service, World War II Veteran, member of American Legion Post #56, member of Wall Township United Methodist Church and Boy Scout Leader for over 50 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda W. Heinz and her husband, Thomas, of Nassawadox; his son, Richard Woolley and his wife, Debra, of Melfa, VA; five granddaughters; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
A celebration of life service with American Legion Honors will be conducted Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Franktown United Methodist Church with Reverend Judith Worthington officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #56, Post Office Box 357, Cheriton, VA 23316.
