Mr. John Thomas Savage, 84, husband of Jean Nauman Savage and a resident of Exmore, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at his residence. A native of Exmore, he was the son of the late Percy Churn Savage and the late Margaret Killmon Savage. Mr. Savage was a retired building superintendent for Conrad Brothers in Chesapeake. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where he served as past Chairman of the Board of Trustees and past Chairman of the Administrative Council, past President of Exmore-Belle Haven Lions Club, a member of Broadwater Masonic Lodge # 71 AF&AM, and Exmore Moose Lodge 683. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Other than his wife, he is survived by a son, John Thomas Savage Jr. of Wilmington, De., a daughter, Mina Savage Turner and her husband C. Albert of Eastville, Va., two grandchildren, Claude Albert Turner IV and John Elijah Turner both of Eastville. Funeral services will be conducted from the Epworth United Methodist Church Friday, September 29, 2006 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Tammy Estep and Rev. Elizabeth Freund officiating.
