Mr. Isaac Innman Mears, 80, husband of Ruby Lathbury Mears and the late Hattie Barrack Mears, and a resident of Willis Wharf, passed away at Shore Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 20, 2005. A native of Keller, Va., he was the son of the late Noah C. Mears and the late Marcielene Gardner Mears. He retired from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Police Department and was a WWII Navy Veteran where he served on the Battleship USS Texas. Mr. Mears was a member of Exmore Wesleyan Church. Other than his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Geraline M. Simpson, and her husband, Victor, of Willis Wharf, Va, and his two sons, Isaac Ronnie Mears, and his wife Carol of Salisbury, Md, and David Wayne Mears, and his wife Deborah of Wardtown, Va. and also a step-daughter, Dawn L. Bonniwell, and her husband Tommy of Craddockville, Va.; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 24, 2005 at 2:00pm from the Doughty Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jennings Williams, Rev. Shane Dickinson, and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home, Saturday evening from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
