Irma Genevieve Hummell

Irma Genevieve Hummell, 91, passed away at Heritage Hall in Nassawadox, VA on Friday, September 13, 2013. Irma was born of French parents, Joseph and Lucie Lamble, and lived in Iowa until she was 89 when she moved to Virginia to be near her niece and her husband, Carol and Malcolm Russ. In addition to nieces Carol Russ and Sherry Treuren, step-daughter Diane Fite, step-son Allan Hummell, Irma is survived by numerous family including a great-great niece and nephew and a step great-grandson and many friends. She worked as a bookkeeper for a variety of employers,including Cole Furniture. Outside of work she was passionate about beachcombing for sea shells, gardening, birdwatching, and hot air ballooning - hobbies she shared with her husband Luman Allan Hummell.
