Irene Padilla

C. Irene Padilla, 74, wife of Felix A. Padilla and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. A native of Quinby, VA, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Voyles and the late Ruby Voyles Mears. She was a retired manager for the Owl Motel and attended Hollies Baptist Church.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by five children, Earl T. Simpson and his wife, Shannon, of Belle Haven, VA, Marvin Simpson and his wife, Rita, of Painter, VA, Wendy Harris and her husband, Travis, of Accomac, VA, Felix Reed of Parksley, Josephine Reed of Parksley; six sisters, Ethel M. Shuster of Melfa, VA, Joyce Meeker Saunders of Melfa, Hazel Smack of Parksley, Pauline Belote Simpson Exmore, VA, Shirley Anderson of Melfa, Margaret Isabella of Painesville, OH; a brother, John Voyles, Jr. of Parksley; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Caleb Horne officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice, P. O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418.
