Ione Townsend Horner

Ione Townsend Horner, 94, wife of the late Kennon Horner for 50 years and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at West Chester, PA. A native of Cape Charles, Mrs. Horner was the daughter of the late Eslie Kellam Townsend and the late Florence Watson Townsend, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and a long time member of the church's Faithful Workers Group. Mrs. Horner is survived by two daughters, Arlene Wallin and her husband, Jack, of Honeybrook, PA and Jacqueline Jablon and her husband, Norman, of Laverock, PA; nine grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Lutz officiating. A private interment will follow in the Cape Charles Cemetery. The family will join friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
