Ida Guidry Thibodeaux

Ida Guidry Thibodeaux, born March 30, 1923 in Lawtell (Saint Landry Parish), Louisiana, passed away August 10, 2011 at her home in Cape Charles, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, James Colbert "Cliff" Thibodeaux. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Mayo Guidry and Lovina Guillory-Guidry. She is survived by three sisters, Barbara Jean Guidry Wilbanks of Daly City, CA, Audrey Guidry Guillory of Santa Rosa, CA, and Luerthry Guidry De Rouen of New Orleans, Louisiana; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norman and Nancy Thibodeaux of Melfa, VA; a niece, Melanie Thibodeaux Baiardo and her husband, Anthony Baiardo and their daughter, Ruthanne Grace Baiardo of Raleigh, NC; a nephew, Keith Benton Downing and his wife, Angilee Mills Downing and their daughter, Claire Lucille Downing of Martinsville, VA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Elenor Guidry and Wilearthry Guidry Broussard and six brothers, Youlden Guidry, Benjiman Guidry, Ervin Guidry, Willard Guidry, Joseph Lee Guidry, and Edmond Leo Guidry. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Cape Charles Cemetery.
