Herman Tyson Poulson, 87, husband of the late Myrene Bradshaw Poulson and a resident of Willis Wharf, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Heritage Hall Healthcare. A native of Exmore, Virginia, he was the son of the late Bernard Richard Poulson and the late Myrtle Wallace Poulson. He was the former owner of Poulson's Cleaners. Mr. Poulson was a lifetime member of Epworth United Methodist Church, past president and member of Exmore Ruritan Club with over 50 years of service. Mr. Poulson is survived by a daughter, Lynn P. Patykula and her husband Joseph of Yorktown, Va.; a sister, Rennie Sue Smith of Jamesville, Va.; two grandchildren, Julie and Michael Patykula of Washington, D.C.; and numerous other family members. He was predeceased by a sister, Anna P. Payne. Funeral services will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond McGarr, Rev. Elizabeth Freund and the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Doughty Funeral Home.
