Henry Anthony Holman

Henry Anthony Holman of Cape Charles, Virginia, died on Friday, December 4th, 2015 at home with his family at his side. He was 81. Tony was born in Bury, Lancashire, United Kingdom, on October 9th, 1934, the first son of Kitty Margaret Holman and Henry Whitehead Holman. Tony's younger brother, David, died in infancy.
Upon graduation from high school Tony served as a Second Lieutenant in the British Army's Royal Corps of Signals. Following his national service Tony became a Chartered Accountant. His ensuing career in international banking took him and his family to Belgium, Luxembourg, The Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong, before moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 1980. He also worked extensively in Beirut, Liberia and South Africa. He and his wife, Wilhelmina, moved to Cape Charles in 2004.
Tony is survived by Wilhelmina, to whom he was married for 51 years, his sons Stephen and Philip, daughters-in-law Ann and Lynette, and grandchildren Claudia and Liam.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cape Charles, Virginia with Father J. Michael Breslin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church, 545 Randolph Avenue, Cape Charles, VA 23310.
