Helen H. Wilkins

Helen Hayes Wilkins, 92, wife of the late George L. Wilkins and a resident of Cheriton, VA, passed away peacefully at her residence Friday, December 9, 2011. A native of Martinsburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Leo Hayes and the late Greta Markel Hayes. Mrs. Wilkins was a retired school teacher at Cheriton Elementary School. Survivors include four children, Kathy Wilkins of Norfolk, VA, Linda Wilkins of Cheriton, Amy W. Elliott and her husband, James, of Cheriton, and George C. "Butch" Wilkins of Cape Charles, VA; a sister, Alda Sencindiver of Martinsburg, WV; and a grandson, Jesse C. Wilkins of Norfolk. A private family service will be held at a later date.
