Helen Parker Corbin, 95, wife of the late Preston F. Corbin and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010. A native of Onancock, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. Parker and the late Betty Sara Rew Parker. Before retiring, she was a LPN at Shore Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was a Past Worthy Matron of O.E.S., Onancock Chapter #82. She is survived by four grandchildren, Leah Fisher and her husband Jerry of Craddockville, VA, Mea Payne of Newport News, VA, Harry A. Corbin and his wife Beverly of Exmore, and Chris B. Corbin of Salisbury, MD; a daughter-in-law, Carol Corbin of Chesapeake, VA; seven great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, a special nephew, Gregory Nixon. She was predeceased by her sons, Preston F. "Hugh" Corbin Jr. and Bruce Parker Corbin. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock with the Rev. Bobby Parks officiating.
