Helen Kachur Beyersdorfer, 93, wife of the late Edward Wendell Beyersdorfer and a resident of Jamesville, VA, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Clifton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mamie Kukelka Kachur. She sold flower and vegetable plants from her home for many years. She was a member of Franktown United Methodist Church and the Jamesville Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include two children, Helena B. Savage and husband Robert of Seaford, DE and Edward W. Beyersdorfer, Jr. of Jamesville, VA; three grandsons, William Savage of Delmar, DE, Richard "Rick" Savage of Shallotte, NC, and George Savage of Seaford, DE; and a great granddaughter, Casey Leigh Savage of Shallotte, NC. Mrs. Beyersdorfer was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Kachur and two brothers, Alexander Kachur and John Kachur. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Alex Joyner officiating.
