Helen Gardner Bell, 91, wife of the late Frank Wise Bell and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Hermitage on the Eastern Shore. A native of Clover, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Gardner and the late Rachel Love Gardner. She taught at Northampton Public Schools until her retirement, she was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school many years. Mrs. Bell enjoyed flower arranging and sewing. She is survived by two sons, Frank W. Bell, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; and William A. Bell and his wife, Alice, of Lancaster, VA; five grandchildren, Hilary Rivers and her husband, Jason, of Eugene, Oregon; Gina Bell of Philadelphia, PA; Capt. Donald John Bell, U.S. Army, and his wife, Sandra, of Bonaire, Georgia; Frank W. Bell III of Philadelphia; and William C. Bell of Charleston, West VA; three great-grandchildren, Santino Bell and Russell and Timothy Rivers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Red Bank Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John M. Robertson officiating.
