Hazel D. Phillips

Mrs. Hazel Doughty Phillips, 94, wife of the late Willard E. Phillips and a resident of Quinby, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox. A native of Quinby, Mrs. Phillips was the daughter of the late Archie Doughty, Sr. and the late Blanche Wallace Doughty. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Phillips is survived by two children, Dixie C. Sammon and her husband John W. Sr. of Pennsville, N.J., William D. Phillips and his wife Marilyn of Melfa, Va.; a brother, Archie Doughty, Jr. of Quinby, Va.; a sister, Margaret Turner of Norfolk, Va.; and two grandchildren, John W. Sammon, Jr. of Pennsville, N.J. and Chris J. Phillips of Exeter, N.H. Funeral Services will conducted Tuesday, July 5 at 3:00 PM from Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Quinby with Pastor Tom Durrance officiating. Interment will follow in the Quinby Cemetery.
