Mr. Harry C. Wooldridge, 86, husband of the late Charlotte Mae Spicer Wooldridge and a resident of Cape Charles, passed away at his residence Tuesday, December 20, 2005. A native of Machipongo, he was the son of the late Harry C. Wooldridge, Sr. and the late Lena Bell Wooldridge. He was a retired conductor for Conrail with thirty-seven years of service and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Ann McCready of Cedar Grove, Va.; three grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Ann Peterson of Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Ga., Thomas J. Brooks of Cape Charles, Va., John H. Brooks of Naples, Fla.; four great grandchildren, Christine F. Brooks of Antioch, Tenn., Evan Brooks Johnson of Naples, Fla., John and David Peterson of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 23, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Cape Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Goodrich officiating. Family will join friends Friday morning at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home from 10 to 12 noon. Arrangements made by Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home, Cape Charles.
