Mr. Harry W. Kiks, Jr., 79, husband of Ruth Kaczmarek Kiks and a resident of Townsend, Virginia and Windsor, New York, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Va. A native of Hicksville, Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late Harry W. Kiks, Sr. and the late Johanna Bohlander Kiks. He was owner of Broome Building Supply in Windsor, N.Y. Mr. Kiks was a United States Army Veteran and he served in the Korean War. Other than his wife, he is survived by a daughter Joanne F. Kiks of Townsend, Va., who lovingly referred to him as Daddy-O, a son, John F. Kiks of Cape Charles, Va., a sister, Elfrieda Hinck of Sarasota, Fla., two nieces, Diane and Susan Hinck and several other nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and cousins of Germany. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 AM from the Cape Charles Cemetery with military honors. The Father J. Michael Breslin will officiate.
